Obsession with Expansions Board Game Insert / Organizer
Description
Description
Organizer/insert only. Does not include the board game!
This is an insert / organizer for Obsession with all the released expansions through the Characters expansion (but see a few excluded items below). It is a two-box solution that uses the larger 2e box and the smaller Characters box. It supports premium sleeves (Gamegenic Prime shown in the photos), vertical storage, has no lid lift, and was designed to aid setup and teardown. A primary goal of this insert was to provide flexibility so you can easily setup and store the game based on your preferred way to play. For this reason, you can easily separate out promo cards and tiles, split out the base game components from the rest, or organize the components in many other ways depending on your preferred setup.
In-Game Trays (to be placed directly on the table)
-Adjustable card tray for holding the casual and prestige guests. You can divide the cards how you would like.
-Two trays to hold the improvement tiles. You can organize these to quickly find tiles if you are using the Market Butler app. I have organized them by type (service, estate, prestige, essentials, and sporting), and I have a separate slot where I place the monuments. I think it is easy enough to find the tile you are looking for without further organizing the tiles, but you could also organize them by prestige level, tile sorting number, or alphabetical order. If you prefer to use the tile bag instead, there is a dedicated space for the bag and you can dump your chosen tiles into it. If you prefer to leave out some of the promo tiles, you can keep them separated in these trays.
-Card holders for the courtship theme, VP, and objective cards. I opted to support the larger theme cards instead of the tiny ones, although you could choose to use the smaller cards instead. I also opted only to hold the new Objective deck that came with the Characters expansion. It is intended to replace the other two objective decks, so there is no space in the insert for those other decks if you sleeve your cards.
-Empty card holder to place on Reverend Grantley’s location to hold the initial objective cards and any objective cards that are discarded throughout the game.
-A money tray that goes directly on the game board. It supports the official metal coins, although you could instead fit the Nanty Narking metal coins or the cardboard coins.
Setup Trays (to be placed in the box after setup)
-Labeled card holders for the starter guests, dowager’s exiles, Fairchilds, solo cards, and milestones.
-Servant trays that separate the servants by type. One tray has the base and Upstairs, Downstairs servants, while the other has the servants from the Characters expansion.
-Separate tray for the cooperative cards and components.
-Setup tray that includes the D20, first player pawn, round tracker, and a few additional tokens.
-A set of chips for use when drafting the distinguished family members. Instead of getting the Asquith cards out of their family box, you can instead place these chips on the table and draft them to identify which distinguished family member you can use. The video below goes into additional details about why I included these.
-Card holders to compress sleeved cards within the family boxes. You first place the card holder in the bottom of a family box and then layer the other family components around it.

There are a few components that are either outdated or I do not use them, so they do not fit in the boxes without adding lid lift. They include:
-The base and Upstairs, Downstairs objective decks. Those are replaced by the Characters objective deck.
-The score sheets. If you are using the Market Butler app already, you could also use the BG Stats app to tally scores. Or you could laminate one of the score sheets. Or you could include a full stack of sheets and maybe have a small amount of lid lift in the base box.
-Outdated or superseded tiles (however, there is plenty of room in the improvement tile holders to store extra tiles if you prefer to keep the older/extra versions for some reason).
